About Helpmates Home Care
A locally-owned, licensed home care agency rooted in compassion, community, and a commitment to improving lives across Eastern and Central North Carolina.
Our Story
Helpmates Home Care, LLC was founded with one simple belief: every person deserves to receive care that is compassionate, dignified, and tailored to their unique needs — in the comfort of their own home.
Based in Rocky Mount, NC, we have grown to serve individuals and families across 8 counties in Eastern and Central North Carolina. Our services span traditional home care, Medicaid-funded 1915(i) behavioral health services, and community outreach through the Helpmates Community Foundation.
We understand that choosing home care for yourself or a loved one is one of the most important decisions a family can make. That's why we take the time to truly get to know each client — their health history, their preferences, their goals — before building a care plan designed just for them.
Every care plan at Helpmates is developed by our registered nurse and carried out by a team of skilled, caring professionals who are dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
Our Mission
“To provide compassionate, high-quality home care and behavioral health services that empower individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their communities — while supporting families with the peace of mind they deserve.”
Our Vision
“To be Eastern North Carolina's most trusted and comprehensive home care provider — where every client feels seen, valued, and cared for like family.”
Our Commitment
We are licensed and insured in the state of North Carolina, accept Medicaid including 1915(i) waiver services, and offer free in-home assessments to all prospective clients. We believe access to quality care should never be a barrier.
